Google Desktop. I like Google very much and almost all their applications and resources, like Picasa 2, Gmail and its online search engine, but Google Desktop is not my favorite, because it uses too much resources of the computer and slows it down. Otherwise, Google desktop does something that Windows already does, that is indexing and searching. It think you do not need another application to do the same task. I instaled it, and uninstaled afterwards. Before this, I had Windows desktop Search, which I liked more, but it had seroius problems of compatibility with Internet Explorer 7.

This Google is nice but as it appears here is quite large in that it sues far too much screen area. Its overall size needs to be customizable as described above. Apple MAC as far as I can find to date, has this concept right, it really needs to be 'size'customizable in ALL its deminsions in it appearance on the desktop screen. Pros: Good selection of possible widgets. Cons: Too large in that is uses too significant an area of avaiable screen space space. We are all very tired of listening to PAP and doublespeak, disingenuous and misleading articles - some of which are just outright lies. There's nobody to talk to, we have problems with auto translate and the google translate extension, every time someone poses the question it is treated as if no one has EVER complained about it. 'go to settings blah blah check 'offer to translate' SERIOUSLY? That's the kind of answer we get when obviously we had been auto translating and using the translate toolbar prior, it's seems pretty obvious we already have 'checked that box'. I wud like to see Google and Yahoo toolbars added to Chrome. It wud help a lot.
