In terms of how they sit and feel on the lips, I wouldn’t call them moisturising but they do sit incredibly comfortably on the lips without drying them out nor settle into fine lines. Now if you’re interested in these, you’ll need to be quick as I do believe that they are limited edition (sucks, I know). They are available in a whopping 24 shades (not quite the 40 shade lineup that Nars launched the Audacious with) from natural nudes to bright fuchsias, and from vibrant reds to your deep plums.

You might think I’m going a little overboard considering the endless formulas and colors that MAC already offers. This is a great nude shade for those with a light to medium skin (equivalent to NC25-NC40) that won’t make you look sick/dead/washed out (delete as appropriate). Smoked Almond is described as a bright rose brown and whilst I wouldn’t use the word ‘bright’ to describe it (definitely more muted/dusky), it is a warm, mid-tone pink with brown undertones and reminds me a lot of the type of Mac shades I prefer like Cosmo and Twig but especially Fast Play (although Fast Play pulls slightly more pinky-mauve). Both are ideal shades to throw on as an easy, everyday shade and I think will flatter a lot of skin tones. The lipsticks don’t fail in the longevity department either and can wear easily for several hours without budging. Like with the Audacious Lipsticks, they will even withstand drinking and ‘light’ snacking (don’t expect it to last after a 3 course, grease laden meal though).

For the Work It Out Collection there are a number of launched in bright colors. I received a mix of the fun shades but as I only wear black, brown or plum the only one I tested was the brown one Squat It, Sugar.

Clouds in My Coffee – Light dusty nude pink Well Bred Brown* – Light nude, I’m reaching for this one almost every day. One application in the morning and I’m still wearing it when I get home from work. Double Fudge* – Intense dark brown that reads vampy almost-black on my lips. My inner Goth is really pleased with how dramatic this one looks. Beetroot* – Creamy lilac purple, a new wave-y throwback that’s surprisingly wearable. The lipsticks glide on creamily and are extremely long-lasting. Of course, I’d expect this kind of staying power to come with a cost—dry lips–but all things considered, the formula is not very drying at all.

I fell in love with Liptensity’s creamy, color-packed formula the first time around, and didn’t think I could love it more. Here’s what makes this Liptensity release something special: not only nine new shades and three old faves of lipstick, but 18 permanent shades of brand new ($21). Ok, let’s get to the shades.

Warning: This is not a lipstick for the shy girls and boys. Mac describes it as ‘A Lipstick with enhanced amounts of pigment for extreme colour intensity’. Each lipstick is said to hold ‘intense amounts of pigment, resulting in extreme colour intensity, clarity and vibrancy’ thus ‘pushes the boundaries of colour’. I can certainly vouch for it’s performance in terms of colour payoff. Heck, I can vouch for it’s performance full stop! Compared to the existing Mac formulations, the Liptensity Lipsticks are like the Cremesheens and Amplifieds combined, but on steroids.

I think this is my first time testing this formula and it far exceeded my expectations. It defines, volumizes and holds the curl. The biggest plus for me is that it doesn’t smudge. I do wish it had a tiny bit more volume with one coat – but having to do multiple coats isn’t a deal breaker. As long as it holds the curl and doesn’t smudge – it’s a winner for me. Last but not least are the. Some shades were repromoted with the Work It Out collection and I had a few from the original launch (I think they launched last year).

I respect your stance of not *reviewing* them since they aren’t applicable to your needs, but the swatches would be helpful to your readers who are interested in the products, and you already have them all right there. I’m really interested in the powder and would like to see what the shades look like!

Well, according to WWD, Liptensity lipsticks contain presaturated pigment with a clear base (as opposed to lipsticks that have a more opaque base). This helps keep the color truer without allowing your body chemistry to influence how it reads on your skin. These have that signature vanilla scent that MAC has in their lip products. Texture is on the medium thick side but not sticky. Given the vast number of glosses I have, had I been able to pick colors I would have probably skipped Nice Cheeks and opted for a deeper or brighter shade (these were press samples). For the eyes, has a really pretty mix of satin, shimmer and mattes.

I bought backups of all of these as they’re limited-edition and I think these will be perfect for travel. They have a nice light but noticeable scent. I love to use these as setting sprays. Next are the lip items from the.

Earlier this spring MAC repackaged their ($17 for 3.1 ml/0.10 fl oz). They merged a few of the formulas such as the regular tinted lipglass and lustreglass into one. There are some new shades but a few of the original colors have also made their way into the new packaging, but they aren’t all the same – for example the original Love Nectar isn’t the same as the new one. The packaging itself is larger however it appears product weight has dropped quite a bit. Weight may vary per tube depending on when you got them, but I have a few that say 0.16 fl oz/4.8 ml. This isn’t the first time MAC has repackaged a product and reduced product size/weight – I’m still a little irked about when they redesigned their Pigment packaging with less product, but it hasn’t stopped me from buying new shades.
