Scott MacArthur talked about William Nylander and the Leafs having no agreement with the clock ticking towards December 1st and why a trade may be a possibility.
Big Mac is clearly coming back to Toronto? My guess is the Leafs will sign Nylander at a 6 year 6.8 Mil/season but a trade with Carolina still might happen with Kapanen going for Pesce in. I think the real reason is they are looking for a bridge deal for him. Similar to the Kane and Toews deals.
I'm planing to buy a Mac. I would like to be able to develop GUI applications for Mac as well. Currently I develop in C# using VisualStudio as IDE. I also know Java and I'm familiar with NetBeans IDE. Application created in both of this languages can run on Mac (as can NetBeans IDE) but I was told that neither C# nor Java is recomended for MacOS X development. So what language is recomended for MacOS X development?
TSN Toronto Maple Leafs Reporter TORONTO – The Maple Leafs held the first official activities of their 2018-19 NHL season on Thursday, with one prominent piece of the team's forward group missing: William Nylander. The restricted free-agent winger has been in ongoing contract discussions with the Leafs for months, but the two sides have failed to come to an agreement. TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reported on Wednesday that league sources told him Nylander may be asking the Leafs for a deal worth $8 million per season, a figure Toronto can’t pragmatically offer the 22-year-old. When asked about the situation at the team’s media day at MasterCard Centre, general manager Kyle Dubas said there was a continuing dialogue with Nylander’s camp but no further updates. “We have a very specific process that we’re going to follow with all of our players over the next number of years,” Dubas said. “Our goal is to have sustained success.

Hoogy ANSWER: Well, Hoogy, it's not so much Babcock vs. Dubas as it is coach vs. General manager. The league's 31 coaches always have personnel disagreements with their GM bosses. Some coaches just think they should have more sway. Some coaches are just louder about it. Thankfully, for my notebook in Toronto, we have Babcock, who sometimes doesn't mind saying what his bosses don't want him to say.
6’6 230 pound Dman who plays on the PP and PK, skates like the wind and wants to stop pucks with his face. There isn’t a hockey man on this planet that wouldn’t make that deal and that’s why Nylander said he wants to stay here long term the other day. Cuz he knows he’s not Colton Parayko.
They are so far at least, evidence of why teams should be tighter with their money as the breakout seasons do not occur half the time. Adios Willie. Click to expand.Jets are stacked at top 6 and really need another quality defender so it isn't a fit unless other teams are brought into the mix. I don't know that Trouba is necessarily a better player but RD with skill and some size are worth more than scoring wingers. There would have to be plusses going out on the Leafs end of it.
This could maybe be attributed to the fact that the team is, once again, “buying UFA years”. It’s easy for Kane or van Riemsdyk to argue that another team could pay more and as a result, someone ends up overpaying.
There's a pretty big difference between expecting a young offensive focused defender like Rielly or Hanifin to develop offensively than there is in expecting a defensive guy like Pesce to explode offensively. Don't get me wrong, I believe you guys when you say that he's top pairing quality and even has some more offensive upside, but you're not going to convince me that he has 40 point upside even if Manson did it. Manson was a surprise to everyone, so it's not really reasonable to expect it with your guy. I don't like this trade. Not because I think Nylander is worth wildly more but a 1 for 1 where the team may or may not be better doesn't make a lot of sense. Nylander is an important part of this team and the only way I see him being traded would be in a Nylander + picks/prospects trade where we get a player back who will make the team noticeably better right now.
Assuming Matthews matches Tavares' deal, 11M, and Marner get's the Draisatl deal (8.5) this is probably the worst case scenario for them. This allows them to squeeze through Marleau's last year. Then suddenly they have Marleau, Horton, Kessel, etc all coming off the books over the next few seasons. Then they'll have guys locked up to decent deals with a window of 3-4 years and a ton of cap space to pay some depth pieces and hopefully sign another big UFA D.
Here is my question: You mentioned in another article that if you were Arizona, you would sign an offer sheet for Matthews if he was still yet to be signed by Toronto. I couldn't find the info, but could you tell me what Arizona would have to surrender if they plucked Matthews off the Leafs?

I do really like Pesce though. Tell me if this makes sense or if I'm way out to lunch (I'm sure I will be told its the latter. From both teams). Gardiner (assuming reasonable extension.

As a result, he’s fallen victim to “which defenceman can we trade Nylander for” speculation. But Nylander isn’t going to be traded unless something dramatic changes. As a reminder, at the trade deadline, that there was no chance that Marner or Nylander would be traded in order to acquire Ryan McDonagh. Of course that was Lamoriello, but you have to think Leafs management is on the same page about retaining important pieces.
Pesce isn’t nearly good enough to be the centrepiece. Bean and Fleury aren’t really ready to go yet, and I’m not sold on Faulk at all.

“The guys would like you here and I would like you here, but that’s part of the process we’re going through. In the meantime, we get to find another player. So someone’s going to play with Mathews who wasn’t playing with Matthews and they’re going to get a heck of an opportunity.
It's just a hard deal to make because both players are young and both teams are young. I don't like this trade. Use something else as justification. You used player type. Click to expand.I think the real reason is they are looking for a bridge deal for him.
I do promise NEVER to go to an exhibition game again. Henry G REPLY: 'Nuff said. EDITOR'S NOTE: This article was updated from a previous version to edit for spelling and grammar.
But yes, a trade for the next Brian Boyle or Tomas Plekanec could well be the play. QUESTION: Is there a big difference in the way Mike Babcock wants the team verses the view of Kyle Dubas? They need to bridge that gap, but does Dubas really have a big voice in the final playing list? This to me has always been an interesting question. Both these guys are hand picked by Brendan Shanahan and I am sure they have been advised to see the other’s view.
But I don't think Dubas is the kind of GM who would do that. The message he needs to send — and is sending — is he stands firm. Latest voilabits videoconverter for mac. I doubt he'll budge on the dollars involved.
That it’s believed Nylander will look for money around the $6.67 AAV on David Pastrnak’s contract. However, in a recent article,: “Word around the campfire is that Nylander is hoping for $8 million.” I think it’s hard to believe Nylander could hope for up to $8 million. Kennedy did note this could just be a starting point for the negotiations, but even so, there are many comparables that would signal him making less than Pastrnak’s $6.67 AAV, let alone a $8 million AAV. An interesting method to predict a contract would be by using the $100k per point rule.
Gardiner (assuming reasonable extension. I find this whole tearing apart of the other teams players to be quite weird. Fans want to improve their team, know the needs, but nobody is ever good enough to trade our stars for. Pesce would absolutely be near the top of my list, of RHD for the Leafs to acquire.
Nylander For Macchiarini
He has proven the least out of the big three, and I think it gives him motivation to improve considering how hard Babs has to be on him at times to push his boundaries, knowing a big deal is coming up in a few years will help a ton. This also allows them to have flexibility if the other two get huge deals. Nylander 4-5 years at 5-6M AAV similar to Kucherov, and Kane deals. He gets let's say 5 years, 5.5 AAV. Assuming Matthews matches Tavares' deal, 11M, and Marner get's the Draisatl deal (8.5) this is probably the worst case scenario for them.
